Fun with the Family!

Last Christmas I spent so much time feeling stressed over presents and wrapping and cards, just all of everything, that this year I said that I’m was going to do everything the easy way. We got presents bought and wrapped as soon as possible, so as to avoid crowds, I made everything that I was doing, the easiest way possible, unless I felt like I wanted to and would enjoy doing it the hard way. So, anyway, last night we made Christmas treats for a few of our neighbors, visiting teachers, home teachers, ect… Anyway, this was one thing I definitely did the easy way. We made Rice Crispy treat Wreaths, and let the boys decorate them with holiday colored candy. (Riley was no longer contagious, so he was able to help as well.) It was fast, enjoyable, and the whole family helped and had fun. And they turned out, not too badly. And since it was fast and easy, we had more then enough time to also let the boys both do homework. Riley of course concentrated, and did his with hardly any help from me. Wesley on the other hand, well, I think the pictures say it all.

To Decorate or Not To Decorate!

Since our tree has been up for almost two weeks now, it has been decorated and then undecorated, and then decorated again, more times then I like to count. And of course it is being done, by the one person who originally wouldn’t help out. (Maybe that’s because I put the laundry baskets away, so now what else is there for him to do, but play with the tree!) Right!!
Also a big HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Shalena! We had a great time on Sunday, at her not-quite-birthday party! (Although we did make her work for her present.) And from the pictures, I’m sure you can tell that we all had some great conversations going on!!! We all played with Shalena’s new addicting Nintendo DS, and battled each other by playing a rather strange yet enjoyable game that had something to do with keeping beat to a very odd song and very weird looking dancing gentlemen. (You would have to play it to understand completely.) But we, as always, had a lot of fun.
