However, now that the weekend is here, I want the sun back. We had such fun last weekend outside, and I'm a little miffed that we aren't going to have the same chance to do it again this weekend. Not to mention that the yard looks terrible and could use a little TLC, that it won't be getting if it's raining. I've decided that, it should only rain on weekdays, while most of us are at work. And then when Saturday hits, it must stop for two days, and come again on Monday! Who will second my motion???? Well, at least I can remember what it was like last weekend and how much the boys enjoyed being outside:

"Rain Rain Go Away, Come Again Another Day!!"
Don't get me wrong, I love the rain! No I adore the rain. It's wonderful, it smells good, it waters the grass for free, it cleans everything, it makes the birds chirp louder and happier, it's great! I especially enjoy a good thunder storm, and the brilliant flashes of lightening, that frighten some people. I even own one of those CD's called "Distant Thunder Storm" or some such title, that's meant to help you fall asleep. It doesn't work, exactly, but not because it scares me or keeps me awake, but because I actually enjoy listening to it. I have to listen to something much more boring to go to sleep by. So needless to say, I've really liked the past week and all of the rain we have gotten.

Handsome Boys & A little Fun!!
First - Aren't these two of the handsomest boys you ever did see??? (Okay - Maybe I'm a little biased. But I'm sure that you will agree that most men look fabulous in a Tux no matter what, and now I know for a fact that, that includes six year old 'little' men.)

"Out of the Mouths of Babes"
So almost daily on the way up to Lori's house, Wes and I play the color game. Which is just him picking a color and we both try to find anything we can in that color. He started out as usual with Red and quickly pointed out the red car that was right next to us. Then he quickly changed the color to brown, because he saw a wooden playground, and then almost immediately changed it to red again because of his shirt, on then on to white for the ball he was holding. (He usually picks one color and stays with that color most of the way there, so this was a little unusual.)
Anyway, the color was still white so I hurried and thought of the first thing I could and said, "Well my teeth are white?" He stopped talking and I could tell he was thinking.
"But my teeth are brown." He said slightly puzzled by this fact.
I laughed and said, "No your teeth are white too."
"Oh," He sounded as though he's just had an epiphany. "My EYES are brown, like yours."
"Right!" I agreed, smiling and proud that he had figured it out for himself.
Then he asks, "Did you get yours at Wal-mart?"

I do believe that he gets some of his humor from his older brother, because the other day I was goofing around with Riley, and for some reason I turned to him and crossed my eyes. He laughed and asked me to do it again, so I did. He laughed again.
"What are you doing?" He asked me.
"I'm looking at my nose." I replied quickly.
"But I can't look at my nose." He said.
"Sure you can just like this." And I did it again. He tried but just couldn't do it.
"I can't see my nose." He said irritated.
"Well, I can." I said and crossed my eyes, yet again.
"Mom, is that because your nose is so big?"
